Atonement and Trust in God

I am so grateful for Heavenly Father, for His willingness to recognize the bigger picture. I am also so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ, without it all that would matter would be where you have been.  I am grateful for the Savior because with the atonement once it is applied it does not matter where you have been, it only matters where you are going. That is the greatest gift ever! While at times, it is terrifying to not be able to see the path and have all the answers before I take the steps, I am working to be willing to go anywhere with his help!

I love Elder Holland and his ability to relay a gospel concept or a story from the scriptures from a completely different perspective. I love how he will say, "sure, you know this story, but have you ever thought of it from this other persons perspective?" I have immersed myself in Elder Holland's talks and writings lately, and have loved the new perspective it has brought to my life. One I love was that of feeling popular or accepted by others, he pointed out how popular and accepted do you think Noah felt as he boarded the lonely boat? Had never thought of Noah in that light.

I am just really grateful for an amazing Heavenly Father who thankfully can see more clearly that I do. I am so grateful the Savior, and his willingness to suffer all things allowing me to be forgiven of my sins. I am also grateful for prophets and apostles of God that bring new perspective and understanding to me.
