Dress Up

Same dress different girls. Mom in 1983 and Kaelani in 2015. 

We went to Las Vegas and Utah this past weekend. In Vegas we got to see mom's best friend from living in Vegas, Rachel. She was down for her yearly trip. They live in Canada now. We haven't seen them since 2008. We also got to see Aunt Natalie and Meriden because they were down for Meriden to compete in a cheerleading contest. 

After our quick stop in Vegas, we headed to Salt Lake City, Utah. We spent all day in Saturday at the Huntinf Expo. We had so much fun looking at all the animals and checking out camo. After 6 hours there our feet were tired! So, we went back to the hotel for a rest. 

We drove home on Sunday and got to see the fresh fallen snow. Mom let the crazy kids out to touch the snow briefly. 

Kaiya and Mom put in for their first ELK hunt!! We are keeping our fingers crossed  that we get drawn.

Gratitude for Mistakes

I am feeling grateful for mistakes I have made and lessons I have learned because of my mistakes. Today, I realized that a decision I made would not have been the same decision of it was 4 years ago. In realizing this, my eyes were opened to the effects of it in my life. I look  back at where I was as a person 10, 8, 6, 4, and even 2 years ago and I realize I have changed, grown, and learned. I have realized lessons that I hadn't even noticed before. . . I know it has made me a better person and definitely given me hope.
