Christmas -

We were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa come open Christmas presents with us this year! It was super wonderful to have Dada there!!It was just right!

Christmas turned out to be a great day! A little more thankful for the special people this year, and grateful for it pulling together. I think being robbed 4 days before Christmas, and scrambling to pull things together and replace as much as possible for the girls. In the end, for me it was being with people I loved, and not so much about the gifts. While the girls still got to experience the magic of Christmas. It was nice to have Christmas be a step closer to what it should be!

First BAD Injury

Last night, I was in the kitchen putting dishes away and cleaning up from dinner. Kaiya and Kaelani were playing in the living room. Kaelani began walking over to the kitchen for me. As she went to one end of the island, I had gone to the fridge. Then, began to circle around to where she was. She noticed I was on the other side and quickly turned, hitting the cabinetary as she turned. She it is on the corner square in the middle of her forehead. She collapsed to the ground, and I rushed to pick her up, to discover she has split her head open, and blood was gushing!

We ended up going to two hospitals. First, we went to the hospital she where she was born. We sat and sat in the er waiting. After a LONG TIME, I decided I was done watching her bleed, and we were leaving! We headed to Cardon's Childrens and waited a few minutes, were moved to a procedure waiting room. In the amount of time we sat in the other ER, we had been treated and released.

She didn't get stitches, but they did "super glue" it! Here is her cut, I am just sick! Sick about it!! Poor thing!! I wanna wrap the world in bubble wrap and rubber bumpers to keep this sweet girl safe!! I don't think the make enough of either for me!!!

 

Christmas Dresses

Kaelani turned into the cupboards in my kitchen in early December. That put a stop to Christmas pictures for the girls. I feel like the worst mother, I never missed a chance to get Kaiya's picture taken. Now, between being busy, life, and money I don't get Kaelani's done as often!

Since there was lack of many things for professional pictures this year, I took the girls, where else? But, to the Temple! I had hopes of getting pictures of both girls . . . here are few I got! One wee one was being totally uncooperative!!

 

Palmer Family Christmas Party 2012

We met Dada at the annual Family Christmas Party tonight. I have been aching to have these family traditions with Kaiya, Kaelani, Danny, and I together! I dreamed since the end of 2010 of all the fun exciting times we would have as a family together. It broke my heart and tore me apart to not have Dada with us last year. I pray this is the first of many of these for the four of us!!

We arrived at the same time as Dada. I brought potato salad because Grandma thinks it is pretty amazing! I think Grandma's barbeque sandwiches are pretty amazing!! Dada can attest, I eat like 2 or 3 of them when they are available. Our first Christmas Party together, we arrived a little late and got to eat in the big gymnasium just Dada and I! It was so much fun to just sit and talk to him!! And, I got to stuff my face and know that no one was watching or cared!! Tonight, we were on time! So, we got to interact with everyone. I have to be honest however, I secretly always want to just be able to have face to face interaction with Dada. I like talking to him! I like  him sharing ideas and I like sharing ideas!!

We ate dinner, Dada took pictures, and I was again really jealous of  "Cami the Camera." I love that he give her so much attention because we get lots of pictures and get to retain the memories from those pictures. But, I get jealous because she takes Dada away from me and us. I miss just getting to interact, just be us, a family. Eat, talk, laugh, hold hands, joke, giggle, sing together, sit close together, and so many things we love to do. Yet, I know Dada loves getting pictures of everything and I know that other family members will benefit from them also.

Dada got lots of pictures of the eating, the piñata, the gift exchange, and the nativity presentation. It was lots of fun! it was nice to be there with Dada as a family. It was good to see Dada happy, and knowing he had pain that he was still there with us. It was a good night! May every Christmas just get better and better for the four of us!!

My favorite is when other people get pictures of  us! We never have pictures together of just us interacting.

 

Temple Lights

We wandered down to the Temple Lights tonight. Danny met us there.  I miss my best friend, I really do. We had an enjoyable evening. I love the Temple grounds . . . but something about Christmas time makes it more magical and peaceful!!
