Camping, fishing, and shooting

Headed to the White Mountains camping! We got there pretty late (after dark), so we slept in the car. Kaelani on the back seat, Kaiya in passenger, and Mama in drivers seat. Woke up, set up the tent, cooked breakfast, and went fishing!!!

Kaiya caught the first fish of the day!! She was thrilled! Kaelani was not interested until she saw Bug's. Then she wanted her pole and wanted to fish. We put her pull out and say on a rock together.

She said, "mom, where's my fish?"

Mom: "We have to wait for it to bite."

Gizzy: "I can't wait more its harder"

Mom: "well, we have to wait - that what fishing is . . . Otherwise we'd call it catching."

Right after I said that, he line was hit by a fish. She reeled until tired and then mama did! Sadly he fish swallowed that hook deep - and died. So, we get to eat it for dinner!!!

We were back to waiting and she just couldn't wait. She and Kaiya gave up. Then, it was mamas turn - but the fish just kept nipping my line and never really biting.

Saturday Morning Trip

We made a trip to Cabelas on Saturday. It is always a fun time to go explore and look at all the neat stuff.

We "lost" Gizzy and couldn't "find" her anywhere! We looked high and low! We were really worried that she was gone for good . . .

(Hiding really well from us in the blind chair. . . I mean so well the only sign we had that she was still near were her giggles . . . Definitely not her cowgirl boots)
