Playful!!

I LOVE MY SISTER!!

There is definitely a mutual adoration between Kaiya and Kaelani!! Kaiya loves on Kaelani constantly, and is always trying to show her how to do thing!! Kaelani lights up as bright as the sun when Kaiya comes home or enters the room. When Kaiya leave a room, Kaelani will look for her!! This is a perfect picture of the adoration these two have . . . Kaiya was reading one of her books needed to read 100 Books for school. Kaelani wanted that book!!

Faith

"A few years after the pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, a young man took an ox team up Millcreek Canyon on a cold winter day to get logs to build a house. It was extremely cold, and the snow was deep. His sled held five large logs. After he loaded the first one, he turned around to load another. In that instant, the log already on the sled—22 feet long and about 10 inches in diameter—slipped off the sled and rolled down on him, striking him in the hollow of his legs. He was thrown face-forward across the four logs still on the ground and pinned there, alone, with no way to extract himself. He knew he would freeze to death and die alone in the mountains.

"The next thing this young pioneer remembered was waking up, sitting on a load of five logs nicely bound on his sled with his oxen pulling the load down the canyon. In his personal history he wrote, 'Who it was that extricated me from under the log, loaded my sled, hitched my oxen to it, and placed me on it, I cannot say' (Marriner Wood Merrill, in Jeaneen Merrill Anderson, "Pinned to the Ground," Church News, Sept. 6, 1997, 16). Thirty-three years later, that young pioneer, Marriner Wood Merrill, was ordained an Apostle.

I made my choices that have led me to this place I am in, struggling and at times wanting to give up. In my darkest moments, I seek to have faith, faith to hold out until an answer is given, my abilities can match the challenges, or a miracle is granted.

9 Months Old and St. Patty's Day

Kaelani is 9 months old today!

How much fun is that!! She will stand if you prop her onto something. She like to turn in circle on her bum (mom is never able to get a video going fast enough to catch it!). She continues to show she is excited by flapping her arms in the air!!

Warm Weather

We have been having a ton of warm weather days and I pulled out a warm weather outfit today. In doing so, I get to show off the cutest little pair of legs . . . she gets them from her daddy . . . let's be honest she gets 90% of her looks from her dad! I think I got the eyes and maybe the ears . . . maybe!!
Attempted to get her to drink from a cup . . . it didn't work! It was funny to watch her play with that cup in her mouth!!

She has such long little legs!!

Cousins

Over President's Day weekend, Kaelani finally got to meet her Idaho cousins. The youngest of the cousins stated, "I really really really like her." Kaelani loved all of them, she loves anyone her size, especially her big sister
M3 - who really really really likes Gizzy Girl

We played hookie from school and work on that Friday, and attended M1's gymnastics competition. We had lots of fun, after gymnastics we went back to Grammy's house to swim! Yes, we went SWIMMING in FEBRUARY, Grammy had heated the pool. The last time she heated the entire pool was when the oldest granddaughter had visited at Christmas time . . . it has been at least 17 years! So, it is a big deal! I think the cousins would have lived in the pool the whole weekend if possible!

Friday night, we had a sleep over at our house with the cousins. The girls all slept in Kaiya's room except for Kaelani! In the morning while getting a new daiper and her clothes on the cousins discovered just how TICKLEISH the youngest cousin is . . . . with all her giggling and squirming she just egged them on!! It was cute!!
Beautiful Cousins!!
Grammy did a belated Valentine's Day pixie knocking for the grandgirls! Tradition in our family to sneak out, leave your gift on the front porch, run, hide, and make it back inside without beign caught!! Grammy did a WONDERFUL job of avoiding being caught!!
The girls with their gifts - M1 helping Gizzy Girl wiht hers!!
The girls at the door standing by their appropriate bags!

Peralta Happiness

Have you ever noticed when you look at pictures, everyone has a smiling face??  How can you tell if the people are truly happy in those pictures?? Their eyes, if they are truly happy, you can look at their eyes and you see it!! You see their happiness!! If you look at these pictures of this hike at Peralta, in some I am not smiling . . . I am being a pain and difficult to photograph . . . . but, look at my eyes . . . they are smiling big because inside I AM SO HAPPY!!!!

This guy, this guy right here . . . with that big smile is the reason!! I LOVE HIM!!!
