The Great Commandment - Favorite Talk

Over the past 4 years there has been one talk that time and time again has brought me hope. It has healed, consoled, and helped encourage me. I have listened to it repeatedly and each time I find hope because it reminds me of who my Father is and who I have the potential to become.

The greatest manifestations of love are the simple acts of kindness and caring we extend . . .

"True love last forever. 

It is eternally patient and forgiving. 

It believes, hopes, and endures all things. 

That is the love our Heavenly Father bears for us. 

We ALL YEARN to experience LOVE like this. 

Even when WE make MISTAKES, we hope others will LOVE US in spite of our shortcomings - 

even IF WE DON'T DESERVE IT. 

OH, it is WONDERFUL to know that our 

HEAVENLY FATHER LOVES US - 

EVEN WITH ALL OUR FLAWS!!!

His LOVE is such that even should we GIVE UP ON OURSELVES, HE NEVER WILL. 

 . . . He SEES us as the GLORIOUS BEINGS we are CAPABLE of BECOMING. 

. . . Love one another as I have loved you . . . He gave them the GRAND KEY to HAPPINESS in this LIFE and GLORY in the next."

The Lord gave His Only Begotten Son because He LOVES ME! My Savior, gave His life to pay the price for my sins because HE LOVES ME! The beauty of it all is that we are all loved beyond our own comprehension. As we turn to our Father in Heaven and our Savior to find LOVE even in our flaws, faults, short comings, and our right stupid actions, they never cease to love us. They constantly see past our shortcomings and see the glorious beings we are capable of becoming. 

I am so grateful that the Lord never gave up on me. I am grateful thru all my stumbling He knew that I would make this journey. I am grateful that as I continue to make mistakes everyday that He will never ever give up on me. 

One of the amazing things I have learned, is that no matter how bad I believe the mistake is I have made, and no matter how hopeless I feel . . my Father in Heaven never sees me as a mistake nor as a hopeless mess. He never sees any of His children as helpless and hopeless for becoming the GLORIOUS BEINGS we are intended. 

I am so grateful for the lessons I have learned. I am so grateful that I am loved no matter what by the one that matter the most. My Father in Heaven loves me. I do not have to do anything - I am loved for me in all my flaws and shortcomings. I am loved. I am enough. I can fall, I can make mistakes - no matter how unworthy I feel - I AM LOVED ALWAYS!!! 

I am grateful that I was able to be blessed to know the love of seeing and knowing regardless of flaws what another can be - because it has helped me realized that love does exist. It was always easy to apply loving thru flaws and shortcomings to this one person - it is how I have always understood how the Lord feels about each of us. Then, I was blessed with children and one person multiplied to three people. Never, until this experience, did I ever believe I was worthy of being loved with my flaws and everything - no matter what - that is the greatest blessing I have received. 

AMAZING!!

I am so eternally grateful for the atonement and for my Heavenly Father's willingness to forgive my sins and remember them no more! I am so grateful for EVERYONE that helped me through the process of receiving my blessings back.

Back to School Haircuts

Kaiya loves her hair ...but, is very worried that the hair dresser cut off her sisters curls!! She keeps asking "mom, did she cut off Kaelani's curls?" I hope not!! I am pretty sure she just blew her hair out - curls are still there! :-) 

Ghost of Memories

it's funny how
your body has a certain memory of things.
like how you can automatically tie
your shoelaces without even thinking
because you've done it so many times,and how you can play this one songon piano without even looking
because you've played it so many times,

so when you love someone with all your heart and spend a long time with them
your muscles start to memorize
every action they make like how 
they breathe in your hair as if you were the only oxygen left on earth,

It's funny how you remember 

 you fit perfectly curled up inside of them, like it was where your body

was made for in the first place,
and your body remembers each other,
every slightest touch can easily be replayed.

and what's funny is that
i can still remember you
even after all this time,
my muscles still imagine you
next to me at random times

and it's funny that
you're not here anymore
yet my body still knows 
where your leg would wrap
over mine (just above the knee)

and it's funny that 

I still remember you

even after all this time. 

my skin still knows 

the sensation of your breathe and kiss

even on my neck below my ear

and it's funny that 

you're not here anymore 

yet my ears still hear 

your voice as you 

tease and love

or call for princess, Buggie, 

and even your  laugh

and it's funny that 

my eyes play tricks 

in moments flickering by

we see you play throughout our day

and feel you presence bitter sweet

and it's funny that

it's not just me who's haunted by

the bodies memory.  

her growing self remembers you

in many thing she will often do. 

She sees you, hears you, and cries for you

She clings to memories of "I will always be here." 

and it's funny that
i'll never stop loving you
because my muscles cannot forget.

It is amazing how many people are effected by this . . . so many know what lies within and yet we cannot change for others. Sadly, those who need change cannot see what lies within them nor do they see the love others have for them.

It was a quick zap back to reality! We walked in the door to find the water heater had come to the end of its life and leaked!!!! 

Such a MESS!!! Mama has been doing the clean up herself!

"mom, instead of dance, I want to do ARCHERY this year." 

Becoming more and more of an outdoors girl!! Love her!! 

Kaelani said while at lunch with friends, 

"Mom you blue eyes. Mom my eyes blue too!"
