In February I purchased a groupon to have all out family videos converted from hi8 tapes to DVD at King Tapes in Mesa. I subsequently delivered them to Kong tapes and was told they would be ready mid March. March came and went no tapes. April cam and went, no tapes. Finally; the 2nd week of May they claimed my precious moments of my children's lives had been transferred. I picked them up and went home to check. None of the DVDs had anything on them, except another family's play. I called and was told to come back and they would fix it that weekend. Feeling hopeful, I went back with my tapes. The weekend passed, I followed up and was told a family emergency had occurred they were unable to get them done but would spend their entire Saturday that weekend taking care of just me. It took forever to get ahold of them to be told they forgot it was Memorial Day weekend and were unable to do it. Seriously!!!!
The last serverL weeks have been spent attempting to contact them. They are never at the shop and their telephone has been disconnected and their website has been taken down. Emails go in responded to.
My heart tells me my children's memories are gone. I have searched for the business license to learn Clay Giroux and Trenton Smith are the owners. They both have families. I met Clay's wife when I dropped them off. The police won't assist me in getting my possessions back. Fox News has run a story on them.
My children now have no record of their
Birth, first steps, feedings, birthdays, recitals, school plays because these two men have disappeared with my video tapes and irreplaceable family memories. I want to cry!!
