Fishing

One of Danny's FAVORITE PAST TIMES (besides just hanging out with me, of course!! LOL) is FISHING!! It just so happens that someone else I know loves FISHING too!!  So, we decided to make an evening CITY FISHING TRIP to Red Mountain Park! I had never been to Red Mountain Park, neither had Kaiya! We loaded up the old Leroy (Danny's trucks name), and headed out to park with fishing poles in hand!
Danny is amazing with Bug - you can see it in her face how she lights up when we are all hanging out together! There was no fishing caught this evening but we sure had fun! Kaiya tried to feed the fish Danny's mini flashlight, and let Danny do the honor of fishing it out of the freezing water! We always have LOTS and LOTS of laughs when wer are together!! These two have my heart!!! I am sure the number of fish caught were directly related to the amount of actual fishing done . . . all that matters is we had LOTS of fun!!

After fishing, we walked around the park to find ground hogs (I think, Danny??) a ton of rabbits, and a bunch of black birds! Didn't even really feel like we were in the city except for the fact that it as a man made pond, the picnic ramadas, and playground!! LOL!!

We arrived home to have an evening of entertainment by Kaiya - it was also CHINESE NEW YEARS . . . hence the face painting and the following modeling session of her Chinese dress.

Peralta Hike

In an effort to stay in shape, and simply because we both enjoy being in the outdoors so much, we have been  hiking lately! This weekend we went to Peralta Trail. One of the things I love about Danny is how much he knows about Arizona, the wilderness in Arizona, and just the fun we have when we are out and about hiking, driving the back roads, fishing, etc!

We got started on the hike kind of late, so we didn't complete the entire hike. As always, someone had my safety as his first priority and wasn't letting us hike a minute past dark (or maybe the memory of me slipping on the last hike had him worried). We had lot of fun!

Danny had his camera out as always! And between me just being obnoxious about pictures and not realizing he was taking pictures with me in them, he once again got lots of picures of my goofy face (he will disagree and say my face is beautiful - except when I intentionally am a stinker and pull ugly faces).

The hike was gorgeous, a little more strenous that the last one, or maybe that fact that I am 4 months pregnant might be the problem . . . . we had fun none the less. Taking in the scenery, including a cactus that remind us of an elephant, trying to take a self portrait of the two of us . . . Danny trying to boulder leap . . . and ending up with a picture looking like I am pushing him off the boulder while posing!! We as always had lots of laughs, talked a ton, and saw a gorgeous sunset!!
Attempting a picture together . . . Danny about to fall of a boulder and me being silly!!

Our "elephant cactus" or a trunk at least

See, he isn't always cooperative in pictures either!! LOL!! He has a lovely smile!!!
