Grizzly Wolf Experience and Yellowstone

On Sunday, we wondered up to Yellowstone National Park as a family. We had lots of fun. I had to make sure we saw a bear and a grey wolf. So, we stopped into the Grizzly Wolf Discovery Center. Kaiya had some excellent questions for the workers about the bald eagles, the wolves, and one about the bears on display in the museum. As we got ready to enter the park, we said a prayer that we would see ALOT of wildlife. Then, we asked specifically to see a BEAR!!!

Gizzy did not want her picture taken.

Gizzy wouldn't turn away - mesmerized by the bear!

The pass bridge to Mammoth

Mammoth Hot Springs.
We missed two bears at Mammoth Hot Springs by just MINUTES!!

Then, a few minutes down the road we stumbled upon this little guy! We watched him for quite a while. The girls loved it and were so quiet.

As soon as we left, Gizzy said, "More bear mom!" She wanted to see more bears! How I wish it worked that way, I'd produce a grizzly. Kaiya noted our prayer was answered!!! We had quite a few little prayers answered on this trip.

A nice biker gentleman offered to take our picture. I was laughing at his smile prompt.

Kaiya begged and begged for me to pull over to the side of the road if there was snow that "wasn't on too steep a side!" She wanted to touch it. On the way down the mountain, I found some. She got out of the car, I wouldn't let Kaelani because we were right no the side of the road. and the mountain was still pretty steep. So, sister brought Gizzy a snow ball to see. I loved Kaiya's faces - shocked that the snow was cold. Silly girl!!

This is one of my favorite pictures. You an see the adoration and love in the girls eyes for each other!!
After snow, we were driving and talking about what we wish we'd still see. Mama said a BIG bull elk or moose. Kaiya said, "a grey wolf." We rounded the corner and look what we saw!!!

We stopped at The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Yellowstone Falls. Kaiya tried to convince me that Tower Falls was taller and bigger!

On our way out of the park, we ran into a bit of a traffic jam. Thankfully, we were going the opposite direction of the traffic. The girls LOVED having the bison walk right next to our car.
We drove to West Yellowstone, grabbed dinner, and then headed back to Rexburg.
