We had an amazing weekend. General Conference weekends are always amazing! I loved Conference and had so many touching moments. I love how the Lord knows just what I need to hear. I love that the messages His servant share consistently lift me from my struggles, encircle me with how much the Savior loves me, and inspire me to strive to live better.
I loved the focus on showing unwavering Christ-like love. I loved being taught about loving regardless of flaws and choosing to love. People are placed in our lives because the Lord knows we are capable of loving them for them. I loved the focus on making sure we remember we are here and we will make mistakes. Those mistakes don't have to ruin our lives, and we need to be sure we do not succumb to Satan's attempt to pull us back in because we have already messed up.
When we make mistakes, we must view it as a chance to REBUILD. We must rebuild STRONGER. Rebuild with the ability to be MORE EMPATHETIC. Problems help us to be refined and become better.
THE STRONGER the WIND the STRONGER the TREE
No matter what happens, no matter our mistakes there Savior has promised to be with us during the best of times or the worst of times. "I will not fail thee nor forsake thee."
The quote below is not from conference. However, I feel like it went with everything that we were taught this weekend. The more time we spend with someone the obvious the flaws, short coming, and struggles become. However, in friendship, in relationships, in marriage, and in families we need to remember we have to choose to continue to love thru all of the ugliness.
