Big Girl Bed

We have reached another milestone. I really debated on making this move because it feels like now there is no baby! The crib was getting shorter and shorter, and Kaelani has figured out how to untie the bumper, unscrew the mobile, and I just felt for safety it was time move her up and out!
Waiting for mom to get going!!

Pausing to say "Cheese" to sister!

Helping mom connect the headboard.

Kaelani likes to either come up behind me and hug me or climb on my back when I am on my hands and knees.  It started while camping. Everytime I bent down to put a peg in the ground, she would come up behind me and hug me! Then, climb onto my back . . . always in the mood for a pony ride!!
Waving to Kaiya!

Walking over the bed frame

Repainting the flower for Gizzy.
This headboard belonged to Mom as a girl till she moved away to college. It started out all YELLOW! When I turned 12 and we moved, it was painted white and the flower was painted all maroon. Then, the headboard was passed down to Kaiya. The flower was repainted in green leaves and a purple flower with a yellow center. Kaelani's room is pink and raspberry with green. So, it needed to be repainted. Mom spent some time repainting before putting the rest of the bed together.

Her big girl bed with bed rails all in place! HOLY COW!! Crazy!!

First night in her bed, she went to sleep and stayed in bed no issues!! Mom snuck in later and took a picture of her sleeping!! So CUTE!!
