We got lucky this year! Kaiya was going to be gone on the 4th of July, but there was a Freedom celebration on the 30th of June that we were able to dress all up in our 4th of July garb and go celebrate our freedom!
We had our favorite fries and shake for dinner with some chicken stripes (I think Kaiya is a chicken strip some times for all she eats them)!! After dinner, we headed to the celebration! It was truly moving!! We arrived to bands playing, and our first step was a "Tie A Ribbon" for a Vet. We had to stop and tie on on for Dada!!

After those stops, we walked around, we went to the children's area, where Kaiya jumped in some bounce houses and played a couple games!! She then got a snow cone!!
Before the end of the night, we went and laid out a blanket to watch fireworks. Danny was able to meet us to watch them.

After the "tie one on for a Vet" we walked thru an area that had pictures and a quick bio of all the fallen solidiers from Arizona. I was overcome with emotion, and so grateful that Danny is still here with us!! Things may not be perfect, I am just so grateful for the chance to make them perfect!!
